Terms of Service
Effective 21 September 2026. These terms govern every use of GSX.info, its free checks and its APIs. The short version: use the platform only for devices you own or are authorised to handle, results are informational and come from third-party sources, failed orders are refunded automatically, and you are responsible for how you and your customers use what we return.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
GSX.info ("GSX.info", "we", "us") operates a device-check platform: a website at gsx.info and two application programming interfaces (the DHRU-compatible API and the native JSON API). Through it, registered resellers buy device information checks and carrier unlock services, and visitors may run a limited number of free checks.
These Terms of Service are a binding agreement between you and GSX.info. They apply to every visitor, every account holder and every system that calls our APIs. By using the website, running a free check, opening an account or sending a request to an API, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the platform.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.
2. Definitions
"Check" means a query about a device, identified by its IMEI, serial number or a similar identifier, which returns information such as model, warranty, activation status, lock status or blacklist status.
"Unlock" means a service that requests the removal of a carrier restriction from a device.
"Result" means whatever a check or unlock returns, in the form it is returned.
"Source" means a third party from which a result is obtained.
"Reseller" or "account holder" means anyone who has opened an account, including anyone acting through that account's API keys.
"Balance" means prepaid credit on an account, denominated in US dollars.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the platform on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business.
You are responsible for everything done through your account and your API keys, whether by you, your staff, your customers or anyone who obtains your credentials. Keep your password, API key and native access token secret. If you believe a key has been exposed, rotate it in your dashboard immediately and tell us.
We may ask you to verify your identity or your business before opening an account, before raising your plan or at any time a transaction looks unusual. We may refuse or close an account at our discretion.
One person or business may hold one account unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. Legitimate use only
Every check and every unlock on this platform is offered only for a device that you own, or that you are handling with the owner's authorisation (for example as a repair shop, a retailer, a carrier agent or a buyer inspecting a device before purchase with the seller's consent).
You must not use the platform to locate, identify, track, unlock, resell or otherwise deal with a device that is lost, stolen, subject to an unpaid finance agreement, or that you have no right to handle. You must not use a result to defeat a security feature designed to protect a device's owner.
You are solely responsible for the lawfulness of each request you make and of the use you make of each result, under the laws of your own country and of any country the device or its owner is in. GSX.info does not verify ownership of a device and cannot do so; it relies on your undertaking under this clause.
If you resell our services, you must bind your own customers to obligations at least as strict as those in this clause, and you remain responsible to us for their conduct.
GSX.info is not responsible for any misuse of the platform or of a result by you, your customers or anyone using your credentials. Misuse is grounds for immediate suspension without refund and, where the law requires, for reporting to the authorities.
5. Checks and results
Results are obtained from third-party sources and are passed on as received. We do not create, verify, edit or guarantee the content of a result. A result may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and the sources may change what they return without notice.
Results are informational and for reference only. They are not advice and not a warranty of any kind about a device. The final word on a device's status belongs to its manufacturer or carrier. Do not make a purchase, a payment or a legal decision on the strength of a result alone.
"No record found", "not available" or an empty field is a valid result: it means the source holds no matching record for that identifier. It is not a failure and does not qualify for a refund.
Delivery times shown are typical, not promised. A source may take longer or fail; the platform keeps asking for up to a reasonable period and then refunds a check that could not be completed.
We may withdraw, rename, reprice or change the source of any service at any time. Where a service is withdrawn while an order is open, that order is refunded.
6. Prices, balance, plans and refunds
All prices are in US dollars and are shown before you order, in the catalogue, in both APIs and on the order page. The price you are charged is the price shown to your account at the moment the order is accepted.
The platform is prepaid. You add funds to your balance and each order is deducted from it. We do not extend credit unless we have agreed a credit limit with you in writing.
Deposits are made by the payment methods shown at checkout, including cryptocurrency. A cryptocurrency deposit is credited when the network confirms it, at the amount actually received; network fees are yours. An invoice that is not paid within the time shown expires; funds sent to an expired invoice may be credited manually at our discretion and may take longer.
Balance is not a bank deposit, earns no interest and is not transferable between accounts. Balance is not refundable to a payment method except where the law requires it or we agree in writing; it is spent on services. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach, we will return your unspent balance.
Automatic refund: if a check or unlock cannot be completed — the source fails, refuses the request, or returns nothing after the retry period — the amount charged is returned to your balance automatically, usually within minutes. This is the only refund a failed order needs; you do not have to ask.
No refund is due for a completed order whose result you dislike, for a "no record" result, for an order placed on the wrong service or with a mistyped identifier, or for an unlock that the carrier declines for a reason connected with the device (unpaid balance, blacklist, active contract) where the source has charged us.
Plans (for example Standard, Gold, Diamond) set the discount or the prices your account pays. A plan is reached by total deposits and may be raised or lowered by us according to the thresholds published on the Plans page. Custom prices agreed with you individually take precedence over a plan's prices.
We may correct an obvious pricing error (for example a price of $0.000 caused by a source's mistake) and either charge the correct price or refund and cancel the order.
7. Unlock services
A carrier unlock asks the relevant carrier or an authorised party to lift a network restriction. Whether and when a carrier grants it is the carrier's decision, subject to the carrier's own eligibility rules (for example, that the device is fully paid for, not reported lost or stolen, and has been active for a minimum period). We pass on the outcome; we do not control it.
You confirm that any device you submit for an unlock is owned by you or by a customer who has authorised you, and that it is not lost, stolen or subject to an unpaid finance agreement.
We do not offer, and you must not request through us, the removal or bypass of Apple Activation Lock (Find My iPhone), Google Factory Reset Protection, mobile device management (MDM) enrolment, or any other anti-theft or organisational control. Checks that report the status of such features are informational only.
Unlock services may take the time shown or longer, and some are non-refundable once submitted to the carrier where the source has charged us; this is stated on the service's page before you order.
8. Use of the APIs and reselling
You may connect your own website or panel to our APIs and resell our services to your customers under your own name and at your own prices. You are the merchant of record to your customers; we are your supplier. Your customers' complaints, refunds, chargebacks and disputes are yours to handle.
You must keep your API credentials confidential, call the APIs only from systems you control, honour rate limits and idempotency rules described in the developer documentation, and not attempt to scrape, mirror or bulk-download the catalogue, prices or results beyond what your own orders return.
You must not present the platform as your own technology, claim an affiliation with any manufacturer or carrier that we do not have, or use our name or marks except to say that a service is supplied by us.
A webhook or callback you configure is delivered on a best-effort basis; the order and its result remain available to you through the API and your history regardless.
9. Free checks
Free checks are offered to visitors as a courtesy and a demonstration. They are limited per visitor and per day, may require you to complete a security check, may be served from a recent cached result for the same identifier, and may be paused, limited, changed to account-only or withdrawn at any time without notice. Clause 4 applies to free checks exactly as it applies to paid ones.
Automated use of the free checks — scripts, bots, proxies or multiple addresses to exceed the limits — is prohibited and may result in your address being blocked.
10. Prohibited conduct
You must not: (a) use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of clause 4; (b) probe, scan, overload or interfere with the platform or its sources; (c) reverse-engineer, circumvent or abuse any limit, security measure or pricing mechanism; (d) submit false identity, payment or ownership information; (e) use the platform to harass, stalk or harm any person; (f) open multiple accounts to obtain free checks, promotions or plan benefits; (g) resell to customers whom you know or should know are engaged in trading stolen or lost devices.
11. Intellectual property and trademarks
The platform — its software, design, text, guides, documentation and the arrangement of the catalogue — belongs to GSX.info or its licensors. You may use it only as these terms allow. Results, as received from sources, may be passed to your customers in the ordinary course of reselling.
GSX.info is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Apple Inc., Samsung, Google, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T or any other manufacturer, carrier or network. "GSX" is used as our own trading name. Product, company and network names appearing on the platform are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the devices, services and networks a check refers to.
The device-model registry used by the instant IMEI check is derived from openly licensed data; its licence notice is available on request.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account, block an address or revoke API credentials at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, if a payment is disputed or reversed, if the law or a source requires it, or if the risk to us or to other users is unacceptable. Where practical we will tell you why.
You may close your account at any time by asking support. On closure, unspent balance is handled as clause 6 provides. Clauses 4, 5, 11, 13, 14 and 15 survive closure.
13. Disclaimers
The platform and every result are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, that any source will remain available, or that a result will be correct or current. Nothing on the platform is legal, financial or purchasing advice.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, GSX.info, its operators, staff and suppliers are not liable to you or to anyone claiming through you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising from the platform, a result, a delay, a failure or your reliance on any of them, however caused.
Our total liability for all claims arising in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for services in the thirty days before the event giving rise to the claim. For a visitor using free checks, that amount is zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
15. Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold harmless GSX.info, its operators, staff and suppliers against every claim, loss, liability, fine and cost (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform or a result, a device you submitted without the right to do so, or any claim by your customers.
16. Changes to the platform and to these terms
We may change the platform, the catalogue, the prices and these terms at any time. Price changes apply to orders placed after the change. Changes to these terms take effect when published on this page; the effective date is shown at the top. If a change is material we will make reasonable efforts to notify account holders by email or a notice in the dashboard. Your continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
17. General
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the platform and replace any earlier understanding. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. Our failure to enforce a clause is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your account or these terms; we may assign them to a successor of the business.
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator of GSX.info is established, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy where you live.
